we escaped the city this weekend and went out to our friends' house for a great party. the guy that they rent from spent 20 years restoring the 120 acres of land they live on by planting over 3,000 trees, building multiple ponds, putting in solar panels and a wind turbine that produce more electricity than they need. they also have chickens, fruit trees and a great garden. it is quite an amazing place and they drew a map so that you could roam the property and even take a little canoe ride. this is definitely the type of place i only hope to call home someday
