i spent the day at the farm on friday and snapped this picture as i was leaving (i forgot i had my camera in the car). we had the most wonderful day planting potatoes and strawberries and looking after the three new baby chicks that arrived. it felt so good to be working out in the sun, getting my hands dirty and learning about the planting process. last year i came more towards harvest season so now i am trying to learn all i can about the beginning stages. the farm just keeps a small amount of chickens for themselves but they sent me home with a dozen eggs and we have been eating the most amazing omelets with homemade bread all weekend. i really hope our city changes its ordinance soon to allow residents to keep chickens
