Bohemian roots...for the love of middle parts and long braids. These remind me of my mom back in the 70s with her long dark hair. I will have to show you some pictures of her if I ever get a scanner.

ReplyDeleteI've been not-so-patiently waiting for my hair to grow out for what seems like years, I can't wait to get it to that length where a messy braid or bun looks impeccably chic.
ReplyDeleteooo I love these photos, especially the middle one on the bottom row.
ReplyDeletedamn. i knew i shouldn't have cut my bangs :(
ReplyDeletei used to part my hair in the middle, but i switched when i got to 7th grade. maybe when it gets longer i will switch back.

My mom used to also part her hair down the middle and her hair was so long it touched the top of her rear end!
ReplyDeleteI so wish I had my moms stick straight hair instead of my curls.

ReplyDeleteAs far as Chicago, I am actually outside of the city in the south suburbs. I am almost in the corn. :) We have a lot down here but it is probably a bit too far. If you ever do come this south though, I would be glad to show you around to them. For Chicago specifically, I would ask Leilani from Thriftaholic. She lives there and knows what exists now. I have been out of the city for almost 2 years, sadly.
I cut my hair short a while ago and am now struggling to grow it back. It would take me quite a while to achieve this look! Love it!
ReplyDeleteso romantic. i'm growing my hair out and parting it in the middle too.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE alela. Last time I saw her she had really short cropped hair though, she still looked lovely.
ReplyDeletethe 70's are totally my decade. i'm always looking to pics of my mom back then- she was awesome. i love all these girls- great compilation.
