Happy new year everyone! We got back from our trip yesterday and I couldn't be more relaxed and excited for the new year. We spent two nights at a hotel in Minneapolis for our anniversary and then headed up north to my aunt and uncle's cabin for four days. Our trip mostly consisted of staying in bed all morning, going to sit around at a cafe for a long breakfast with lots of tea and coffee, vintage/thrift store shopping, napping, reading, crocheting, cooking, keeping warm by the fire, making music, drinking, playing cards and watching old movies. I am not really into making plans for new year's eve so it was so nice to just be alone in the cabin with a fire and a bottle of champagne and the house across the lake ended up setting off a pretty amazing firework show at midnight. I wanted to take more photos of our trip, but it felt too good to escape from technology for a couple of days. I only wish I got a couple more photos of my sweet vintage anniversary dress that I re-made. By the time I thought to snap a photo on our way out to dinner, it was too dark outside and taking photos with the flash is tricky when you are wearing sheer fabric. It might have to make a re-appearance with a proper photo shoot sometime in the future.
Shop announcements: I think I confused some people so just to clarify, I am re-opening my handmade shop today with the same pieces I had before and then I am adding the new winter collection later this week. I am still going to be making the old collection, but just in more limited quantities. I am also doing a big vintage update this week so check back.
