I went to Storm King last fall and spent the whole day worrying about ticks. Of course, just before leaving, I found a tick in my thigh! It's so beautiful there, and such a nice escape from the city. My other favorite place to go is The Cloisters - not exactly the same, but still so peaceful and lovely.Ps. Here are some of my pictures from that visit: http://marmunia.blogspot.com/2010/11/in-new-york.htmlI loved the hills that were carved out and molded to look like the sea.
I've heard so much about that place lately. I can't wait to get a chance to visit.
alyson-i kept thinking about how beautiful it would be to be there in the fall! your pictures are beautiful, it has reminded me once again that i need to get out my film camera. janelle-i have wanted to go for so long, definitely worth it if you are going to nyc.
i've ALWAYS wanted to go to Storm King, but somehow it slipped my mind this summer. Lucky, gal! Makes me even want to go even more! It will have to wait until the next time I'm on this coast :). Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip!
it has been years since i've been there. thanks for the happy-memory-jog. lovely photo!
I also just went to love adorned last week to see Michelle Quan's work. The store was WAY bigger then I expected. So many things I wanted.
