it was gallery night here in milwaukee on friday so nelly and i did a walking tour of my lovely little neighborhood (bay view) to check out a few of them and say goodbye to my favorite, paper boat boutique and gallery. it is so sad that paper boat is closing but we got to enjoy one last art opening featuring paintings by Micaela O'Herlihy. the show was a portrait series of her 10 year old son's school bullies which also included these great little descriptions that her son wrote about each of them. it was truly a wonderful show and you should check it out before paper boat closes on may 31st. there is also a lot of really cute stuff left in the store still. i stocked up on some great sycamore street press cards and got the above mini cut out by owly shadow puppets
