a few photos from the weekend...i tried to go shopping for wedding dresses on friday, but couldn't find anything. instead i used a birthday gift card to get a new striped shirt from jcrew and finally found a one piece swimsuit. it looks so cute with cut-offs and it was on clearance for $10! i am not usually drawn to pink, but i couldn't seem to escape the color after my neighbor brought over a couple of beautiful pink peonies from her garden. on saturday, we took mancha to our friends bbq party in the park and had so much fun until it started down pouring. we went out for thai food instead and stayed in to watch old movies. on sunday, the husband made a tasty omelette breakfast and then we went down to the art museum to see the new american quilts exhibit. it was such a great show, but unfortunately you can't take photos inside. i bought a couple of post cards on the way out, but they don't even do the show justice. in addition to the amazing quilting, there was lots of hand printing, dyeing and embroidery. if your in the area this summer, i definitely recommend checking it out.

  3. I'm usually drawn to swimsuits that I normally wouldn't be too (did that makes sense? hehe). I have this great red floral and gold one that look like my grandma would wear it but it's so cute on!

  7. I love that shade of pink. It's not too girly, but neither is it 1980s neon.

  10. Love the stripey shirt. I totally agree with you about the pink thing. I used to hate pink but I've found myself gravitating towards softer peachy pink colors, the kind I would've run away from when I was younger. Funny how things change.
