it has been hard to find time to blog lately, but i am a lot more active on instagram. here are a few recent photos. above a trip to the farmers market and turning it into curried squash soup + homemade sesame bread
a couple of ceramic pieces i have finished lately. a teacup and a hanging pot for our bathroom. i have started working on some ceramic jewelry which i hope to share soon. a couple more pieces here.
lately i like to button my shirts all the way up and another awesome trade with julia.
a little mancha love and the beginning of my first weaving on a loom. i started taking a weaving class a few weeks ago and so far i love it. we are making a sampler of patterns, but i can't wait to be able to work on my own ideas. you can find me on instagram @doreshandmade

    Alyson-I think we would definitely be friends if we lived in the same place!

    Annie-I am taking the weaving class at the ABK weaving center and I do the pottery at Murray Hill.

    Caitlin-I kind of make it up as I go, but it is really simple. I just start by sautéing a little butter, garlic and chopped onion. Then I add water, some pre-made vegetable soup stock, the squash (I roast it in the oven first), Indian curry powder and salt. I garnish it with bleu cheese and green onion.

    i just had my first ever ceramics course this evening and i threw a few little bowls! i can't believe i'd never done it before until now - it feels so good!

  15. i just started taking a weaving class and love it, too! i am almost done my sampler project and my mind is buzzing with ideas for my first real project. it's hard to resist the temptation of buying my very own loom!
